Tour Overview

This 3-day safari offers an unforgettable journey through two of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations—Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. Designed for travelers with limited time who still want to experience the heart of African wilderness, this adventure brings you face to face with the raw beauty of nature and the richness of East African wildlife.

Your journey begins in the vast plains of the Serengeti, where golden grasslands stretch to the horizon, dotted with acacia trees and teeming with wildlife. You’ll track the Big Five, witness the rhythm of predator and prey, and, depending on the season, catch a glimpse of the Great Migration—one of the most spectacular natural events on Earth.

The final day takes you into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to a self-contained ecosystem where lions, rhinos, elephants, and flamingos live in extraordinary density. With breathtaking landscapes and unmatched biodiversity, the crater offers one of the highest chances to spot a wide variety of animals in a single game drive.

Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveler, this short safari is rich with photographic moments, intimate wildlife encounters, and memories that will stay with you forever.

Tour Itinerary

🗓️ Day 1: Arusha – Central Serengeti

The day will begin with a scenic drive or short flight from Arusha to the legendary Serengeti National Park. As we enter the central Serengeti, you’ll begin to spot wildlife across the open savannah—zebras grazing, giraffes stretching toward the acacia trees, and herds of wildebeest moving across the plains. Predators like lions and cheetahs may be seen lounging in the grass or stalking prey nearby.

After a few hours of game viewing, we’ll stop for a picnic lunch in the park surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. In the late afternoon, we’ll continue our exploration of the Serengeti, keeping our eyes peeled for elephants, hyenas, and possibly a leopard draped lazily over a tree branch.

As the sun begins to set, we’ll head to our lodge or tented camp for the evening. The stars will blanket the sky as you enjoy dinner and relax for the night.

Overnight at: Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge / Serengeti Heritage Camp (or similar)

🗓️ Day 2: Full Day Safari in Serengeti

The day will begin early with a sunrise game drive, the perfect time to witness predators in action and the bush coming to life. You may see lions on the move, jackals howling in the distance, or a leopard dragging its kill into the trees.

After breakfast, we’ll continue to explore the central and southern Serengeti, where herds of wildebeest and zebras often gather. This region is rich in biodiversity—expect to see elephants, buffalos, topis, warthogs, and perhaps a cheetah sprinting across the plains. Migratory birds like storks and eagles glide through the sky, while hippos lounge in the waterholes.

Lunch will be served in a scenic picnic spot within the park. The afternoon brings more opportunities to spot unique species, both big and small.

In the evening, we’ll return to camp for dinner, stories around the fire, and a peaceful night under canvas.

Overnight at: Serengeti Camp (same as previous night)

🗓️ Day 3: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

The day will begin in the central Serengeti, where you will have the opportunity to observe wildlife on a final morning game drive. After a hearty breakfast and some time spotting more animals, we’ll make our way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Lunch will be provided en route or at the Ngorongoro Crater rim before we descend into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The Ngorongoro Crater is teeming with wildlife—lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, elands, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, and antelopes all call the crater home.

Migratory birds like vultures, storks, and flamingos travel here from Eurasia and across Africa. The landscape is mostly lush and green, though some patches of arid vegetation add contrast. Wildlife viewing varies by season and the movement of herds, but the crater offers one of the best chances to see the Big Five in a single day.

In the afternoon, we’ll ascend to the rim of the crater, where you’ll take in stunning views before heading to Simba Camp, located on the edge of the crater. Here, you'll settle in for the night and reflect on the wonders of the day.

Overnight at: Simba Campsite (Ngorongoro Crater Rim)
